In Ratatouille, which was released by Pixar in 2007, Remy is truly a visionary. Remy has a clear dream of being a chef and really believes that anyone can cook! His whole leadership is not about being in control but instead inspiring and guiding others toward a common purpose.
The entire movie has so many leadership elements that we should all embody. First, Remy has vision and passion in his unwavering belief in his mission and truly motivates everyone to keep going despite the many obstacles. There is also a true sense of trust between Remy and Linguini which gives them space to grow. The partnership between Remy and Linguini also really shows the collaboration and teamwork of the entire kitchen staff.
Remy must hide his identity but that makes the resilience theme come alive in the movie. Remy also stays true to his values even when it is difficult, which highlights his integrity and authenticity.
If you have read my regular posts about leadership, these are ones that I talk about often. Ratatouille truly portrays leadership as a servant to the success of the entire team. Remy is a leader who inspires, empowers, and unites people around a true shared vision!
