So last week we talked about the teamwork of the Parr family to overcome Syndrome and the Omnidroid.  But in Incredibles 2, the roles of the Parr family have changed.  Elastigirl becomes the face of superhero advocacy and Mr. Incredible takes care of the house and the kids.

Often as leaders, we must have role flexibility.  As leaders we must effectively delegate tasks to empower others to use their strengths for the good of the team.  The capabilities of our team members, when used in unison and according to each team members skills, allow the team to succeed in a way that may not have seemed possible.  This type of environment will also allow team members to voice concerns and admit their weaknesses.

The Parr family (especially Mr. Incredible) acknowledges his limitations when it comes to running the house and allows the entire family to learn from their mistakes.  By reflecting on the situation, being accountable and constructively addressing the situation, we can be better leaders and teammates!

Effective leadership is rooted in understanding yourself.  Leaders must truly “Know Thyself” to inspire and guide others with clarity and integrity.
