I guess you know by now that I truly love all of the Pixar movies!  So now we are on to the Incredibles and part one of their story!  Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl have gotten married, have 3 kids and are the Parr family.  They are living a normal suburban life after the government banned superheroes.

But they are not a normal suburban family because they must suppress both their talents and their identities.  We all have pressures that force us to conform based on the tension between our personal fulfillment and what society expects from us.  The Parr family in their suburban life have unclear roles, poor communication, and misaligned goals, all of which resonate with corporate teams.

But what really resonates when it comes to The Incredibles is that when the family (a unit of both power and identity) work together, they can beat Syndrome and the Omnidroid.  Their teamwork highlights trust, collaboration and resilience in overcoming obstacles.  Each member’s unique abilities when used together empower the family to overcome the challenges and combine strengths to have a shared goal.

When you are working with your team, always remember that each team member has unique strengths and working together is crucial to overcome obstacles.
