As I was about to finish the Toy Story part of this series, I heard the theme song for Toy Story on the radio. The song if you don’t know it is “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.” The lyrics emphasize loyalty, support and enduring friendship…something all of us need.
It made me truly think about how we should all have a theme song, just like we should all have that friend (or group of friends) that is truly always there for us. A true friend will remain loyal and supportive, no matter what! True friendship involves mutual support, understanding and a willingness to face challenges together.

When this song is used in Toy Story, it mirrors the relationship between Woody and Andy which symbolizes the loyalty and emotional attachment between toys and their owner…and reminds us that true friendship endures even when circumstances change. A true friend is always present, shares in your struggles and offers unwavering support.

Remind yourself of those friends that are there for you and that you need to be there for…no matter what.

You got troubles, and I got ’em too
There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you
We stick together and see it through
‘Cause you’ve got a friend in me
