Moana is the daughter of Chief Tui who expects his daughter to take control of the island in the future.  However, she is the one chosen by the ocean to break a great curse that haunts her land. She is the first Disney Princess of Polynesian origin.

Moana’s lessons inspire and guide us in many ways.  Like many of the other princesses, she shows courage and bravery on her quest to restore the heart of Te Fiti.  Her bravery in confronting the obstacles shows the importance of courage in pursuing our goals.  She also learns her true identity and capabilities in this question which highlight the value of self-discovery and understanding what we are capable of.   Moana’s journey also highlights the importance of living in harmony with nature.

Moana encounters many setbacks but never gives us which show how determination to succeed can teach us the importance of perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity.  But for me, one of the most important lessons of Moana is to follow your heart.  Her deep connection to the ocean teaches us to listen to our inner voice and follow our passions, even when others may not understand.

My lesson: Be brave, follow our hearts, and respect the world around us.
