Tiana is an independent waitress living in New Orleans in the 1920s who ends up finding a frog
that is said to be a cursed prince (The Princess and the Frog). Tiana is the first (and only) black princess and represents diversity and inclusivity which encourages pride in our background and culture.
Tiana has several lessons that are meaningful including showing that dedication and perseverance are the keys to realizing our dreams. Tiana also faces many obstacles on her journey but she remains confident in her skills and her vision which inspires others to have faith in their potential. Tiana doesn’t wait for the prince to rescue her but instead takes charge of her own destiny. This lesson is about encouraging independence and self-sufficiency.
Tiana also is always focused on her goals but learns to balance her ambition with her relationship with the Prince. This teaches her to enjoy life and find happiness in the journey and not just the
My lesson: Work hard, believe in ourselves, and cherish our relationships.
