Rapunzel is a princess who is stuck in a tower for years, then escapes the tower against her mother’s wishes with the help of an outlaw Flynn to find the source of the lanterns that are released into the air every year on her birthday.  After she escapes, she discovers she is the missing princess of the kingdom of Corona for whom the sky lanterns were released in the air hoping that the princess would see them and return home.

Rapunzel offers a lot of lessons that are ones that we should use in our life.  First she follows her dreams to see the floating lanterns no matter how impossible that seems. She leaves the tower and embarks on an adventure showing that growth often happens when we step out of our comfort zone.  She is also faces the unknown with courage and is brave in how she overcomes obstacles.

The other things that Rapunzel learns have to do with her true identity and that leads to self-discovery and personal growth. Her relationship with Flynn shows the importance of trust and the strength we can get from supportive friendships.  Rapunzel also has so much inner strength and she has so much determination that helps her to overcome numerous challenges.

My lesson: Be brave, pursue your dreams, and value the relationships and kindness in your life.
